The Optimal IdM LDAP Migrator provides you with an automated and repeatable process to migrate LDAP data from one environment to another. Using the documentation and software you can migrate all or a portion of your configuration data across your environments, such as Development, Test, Production.

Overview

• Compares two LDIF files (source and target) and determines the differences between the files.
• It then creates 3 LDIF files (.ADD, .MOD, .DEL) with the changes to add, modify, or to delete in the target environment. Once applied, the target environment will be identical to the source environment.
• The order in which changes are applied is important, so the files can be automatically sorted as well. This is because child objects cannot be created without the parent being present first.
• The files are then ready to be applied to the target environment. This will complete the migration of LDAP data.
