There are many uses for the Virtual Identity Server within an organization. Initially, many of our future customers need to solve one particular pain point, or to provide a particular solution. This could be to deploy a single centralized SharePoint portal to users existing in multiple Active Directory forests.
Another organization may need a way to manage third party Active Directory schema changes, or even to provide cross-forest compliance and audit reporting. In either case, there is an edition of the Virtual Identity Server to meet these needs.
